		Click on the pic for some of Dazcat's earliest designs. This one bears more than a passing resemblance to the D SP 14 below; the best ideas never go out of style.

		A note on classifications - you will notice that some of our cruisers are also racers. These are built for comfort but are still fast enough to be serious contenders on the racing circuit.
	racing
		Dazcat 8R Click on thumbnail for details	An open deck racing catamaran first built in 1989, it is fast and fun to sail. It has won its class in both single and two-handed transatlantic races, as well as many other races, and has proven itself reliable and safe during a long cruise around eastern Europe.

		Dazcat 8RT Click on thumbnail for details	A racing trimaran first built in 1990; it is extremely fun but has minimal accommodation. All you need to win races. Darren has been interviewed about this design by the Small Trimarans website.

		Dazcat 10R Click on thumbnail for details and spec sheet	An open deck racing catamaran designed for offshore racing, it offers great performance all round. Also available as a kit. Watch one being built by clicking here.

		Dazcat 10RT Click on thumbnail for details	A racing trimaran first built in 1997 for winning races, it is an extremely fast boat, ideal for racing shorthanded offshore. Has been very successful as you can see in News and Stories. Click here for footage of the start of the Round Britain Race in 2006 (ps - they won). She was sold on in 2008 and is still winning races. 		Dazcat 10 Click on thumbnail for details and pdf brochure	A bridgedeck cruiser racer catamaran first built in 1995. It has won its class in the Round Britain Race and always gives great performance that belies its extremely comfortable interior. Our best seller until the 1150.

		Dazcat 1040 Click on thumbnail for details and pdf brochure	A catamaran designed to sail or motor both at sea and in inland waterways, this is all the boat you will ever need for the perfect cruising holiday with family and friends.

		Dazcat 1150 Click on thumbnail for details and pdf brochure	A cruising/racing catamaran aimed at the self-build market. It offers excellent performance and can be sailed single-handed for short handed racing. We launched the first one in spring 2009 and she had an exceptional first racing season, and a fantastic family cruise - photos in Picture Gallery. Available in three formats.

		Dazcat 1190 Click on thumbnail for details and pdf brochure	A cruising catamaran designed by Darren Newton for himself, the first one was subsequently sold on and launched in 2006. It offers very spacious accommodation while retaining exceptional performance.

		Dazcat 1195 Click on thumbnail for details and pdf brochure	Sister to the 1150, but with a new coachroof and improved headroom in the saloon. Two have been built, one complete and one kit. 		Dazcat 14CH Click on thumbnail for details and pdf brochure	A charter catamaran designed in 2001, aimed at the couple that wants to get away and is looking for a way to generate an income en route.

		Dazcat 14CH.2 Click on thumbnail for details and pdf brochure	A charter catamaran designed in 2004. More commercial than it’s predecessor, with a lot more seats to put more bums.

		Dazcat 14CH.3 Click on thumbnail for details and pdf brochure	A charter catamaran built in 2005. Ideal for day charter and sunset cruises. Drop leaf tables and comfortable seating for 29 passengers under cover, a galley in the port hull for on board catering, and a wet bar in the saloon. Basic accommodation for crew. As of the beginning of 2009 she is for sale to the discerning purchaser.

		Voyager 10 Click on thumbnail for details and pdf brochure	A 10m sailing catamaran designed with the whole family in mind. Developed from the 1040 design and launched at the London Boat Show 2006, this is the perfect vessel for cruising with family and friends. Very roomy accommodation for its size, with berths for 5-8.

		Dazcat P15 sports cruiser Click on thumbnail for a description of the boat	Part of the new DazPowerCat range at the bottom of the page. The first of these 15m power catamarans was built for a chap in a wheelchair and his wife for cruising in the Med. Building began in June 2007 and the launch took place in October 08.
