Paradox
and the Rolex Fastnet Race 2005 |
||||||
Dazcat
10RT Paradox took part in this year’s Fastnet race, coming third
in the Multihull class behind fellow Dazcat Dazzle,
with the same skipper of Matt Baker and crew of Simon Baker and Ed Green
that did so well in this year’s Round the Isle of Wight Race.
Click here to read a pdf copy of
the story that appeared in our local paper, the Evening Herald, on Saturday
August 13th. Below are pictures of the start of
the race, taken by John Leal and reproduced here with our thanks. |

| Paradox at the start of the race. You can just see fellow Dazcat and competitor, Dazzle, a Dazcat 12, in the background above and foreground below. Paradox came in third to Dazzle's second, once elapsed time had been adjusted for handicap. | ||||||

| NB – with reference to the Herald's story, if cramped and smelly doesn’t appeal, you can always try this in one of our 10 or 12m cats, with a full galley and room to catch some shuteye! Likewise, if the idea of pitchpoling scares you, bear in mind Paradox is an out and out race boat - one of our racer/cruiser boats would be much more suitable for you. | ||||||
